News section script First draft

Presenter 1: Now it's time to move onto our news section. So, what’s going on today? 

Presenter 2: Today in the news an academy chain has been cleared of financial wrongdoing after a police investigation


Presenter 1: A Statement has been released by the police stating that they are "confident in learning more about the fatal stabbing of a father of three


Presenter 2: a beloved Sheffield band has announced their new album and tour dates


Presenter 1: and new plans have been unveiled as to how drones could be used to combat rising South Yorkshire crime rates.


Presenter 2: But first our top story today is that the Wakefield Academy trust has been cleared of any wrongdoing in light of a police investigation.


Presenter 1: Suspicion was raised in relation to the finances of the company last September when an abrupt announcement was made that they would no longer be running 21 of their locations including the Sheffield based Yewlands academy.


Presenter 2: In a statement a police spokesman said Wakefield Police have now completed a review of information passed to officers regarding this matter. No crimes have been recorded and relevant authorities have been made aware.”


Presenter 1: Our next story concerns the Murder of young father of three Jarvin. The police have stated that they are confident in catching his killer or killers but have urged the public to come forward with “Nuggets of information” that may assist with the in the investigation


Presenter 2: Next it has been revieled that south Yorkshire police are looking into plans which will see drones used to combat the rising crime in the Sheffield area.


Presenter 1: Yes, the drones are going to take to the skys at night scanning the ground for any suspicious activity. This is a trial of a planned national use of the technology.


Presenter 2: And todays final story. The Arctic Monkeys have announced their 2018 tour and a new studio album titled “Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino”


Presenter 1: The band will be touring the nation and playing two dates in Sheffield on the 18th and 19th of September at the Fly DSA arena.
