5 things I would expect to hear in a radio show:
1: A jingle (introductory piece of music) which will be heard every 15 minutes.
2: The presenters giving their name ( an introduction)
3: Sound effects
4: An advertising brake (their revenue stream)
5: News bullitins (Notable events, sports and weather)
6: call-ins (this can also often serve as a revenue stream)
7: Sports
8: News
9: Interviews
10: current events
11: Bedding music (Music which plays in the background while people talk)
Red points may not appear in all types of radio show but are conventions within their given genre.
There can be differences between radio stations such as Hallam radio and BBC radio one as that the former would be organised to make a profit while the latter is a public service body which is not concerned with making a profit as that they are funded by the government in order to inform and educate while educating.
