Frazer: 6:01:40-6:01:45	But first our top story today is that the Wakefield Academy trust has been cleared of any wrongdoing in light of a police investigation.
Charlotte: 6:01:45-6:01:50	Suspicion was raised in relation to the finances of the company last September when an abrupt announcement was made that they would no longer be running 21 of their locations including the Sheffield based Yewlands academy.
Charlotte: 6:01:50-6:02:00	Our next story concerns the Murder of young father of three Jarvin.

Matt: 6:02:00-6:02:10	The police have stated that they are confident in catching his killer or killers but have urged the public to come forward with “Nuggets of information” that may assist with the in the investigation
Charlotte: 6:02:10-6:02:15	Next it has been revealed that south Yorkshire police are looking into plans which will see drones used to combat the rising crime in the Sheffield area.
Frazer: 6:02:15-6:02:20	Yes, the drones are going to take to the skies at night scanning the ground for any suspicious activity. This is a trial of a planned national use of the technology.
Matt: 6:02:20-6:02:25	And today’s final story. The Arctic Monkeys have announced their 2018 tour and a new studio album titled “Tranquillity Base Hotel and Casino”

Charlotte: 6:02:55-6:03:00	[Start of sports section] [sports jingle] This weekend we saw Daniel Ricciardo won the Chinese grand prix after Max Verstappen and Sebastien Vettel collided with each other and Lewis Hamilton called his performance a “disaster’.
Frazer: 6:03:00-6:03:10	It has been a hard start to the F1 season for Lewis Hamilton after finishing 4th this weekend and not having won a race yet this season leaving him in 2nd place on the leader board below Sebastian Vettel.
Charlotte: 6:03:10-6:03:15	In boxing news, Heavy weight boxer Tyson Fury announced his long anticipated return to the ring for the 9th June at the Manchester arena against an unconfirmed opponent.
Frazer: 6:03:15-6:03:17	Who do you want to see him fight ?
Charlotte: 6:03:17-6:03:23	I would really like to see him fight AJ I think that would be a massive fight, but Joshua has his WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin to fight first, which leaves Deontay wilder open for a big showdown between Fury and Wilder.
Frazer: 6:03:23-6:03:35	At the Commonwealth games in Australia the England team win the gold in women’s netball, beating the Australian favourites 52-51."It's my dream come true," said head coach Neville.
Charlotte: 6:03:35-6:03:43	Manchester City won the premier league title on Sunday after Manchester United lost in a shock 1-0 defeat to West Brom.

Charlotte: 6:04:45-6:04:52	[Start of discussion section] Good morning guys, I hope everyone’s having a good day so far So today. Welcome to our daily “Discussion section” where we talk about problems that you are facing. our topic of discussion today will be flatmate horror.
Frazer: 6:04:52-6:04:57	We asked you guys to tweet in your stories and I must admit some of them are intense. [Laughs]We took the time to sift through and find he worst ones. Hopefully we can try give positive advice.
Charlotte: 6:04:57-6:05:03	okay so the first story is about two rival flats who took it so far that a tree ended up in the oppositions flat.
Frazer: 6:05:03-6:05:07	I never understood how flats rivalled like this. See my accommodation was calm and everyone just got along really but how?
Matt: 6:05:07-6:05:09	I know right like, What happened for a tree to end up in the fight for who’s better?
Charlotte: 6:05:09-6:05:12	Basically, it says here that both flats were filled with sports students, the rugby team and the football team were constantly at each other’s necks for which is the better sport.
Frazer: 6:05:12-6:05:17	It’s started off fun because they were always hosting iconic parties such as the take down. They were super dramatic and filled with testosterone but one day the footy lads wanted to show their strength.
Matt: 6:05:17-6:05:20	They all came together and put a tree through the rugby houses kitchen window
Frazer: 6:05:20-6:05:24	Oh wow, that’s quite something. I mean I can understand why the footballers wanted to showcase their strength but this is definitely a step too far.
Charlotte: 6:05:24-6:05:26	solutions? Maybe first off, al don’t shove trees through people’s windows.
Frazer: 6:05:26-6:05:29	[laughs] Yeah, I don’t think I have much to say. Maybe keep the rivalry on the field.
Charlotte: 6:05:29-6:05:40	Going back to what I was saying earlier, my flat didn’t have tension but, in the beginning, I remember there being one occasion where there was almost a fight because one girl accidentally set the kitchen on fire.
Frazer: 6:05:40-6:05:42	Did the girl happen to be you?
Charlotte: 6:05:42-6:05:48	[laughs] No. So what had happened was one girl has set up the toaster but she put the instructions in the crumb tray.
Matt: 6:05:48-6:05:53	She thought it was storage so fast forward. Someone goes to use her toaster and a fire starts.
Frazer: 6:05:53-6:05:56	My flat mate had managed to put it out but the toaster was ruined.
Charlotte: 6:05:57-6:06:10	So my flatmate freaked out because he wasn’t supposed to use it he did just out of laziness. He tried to hide the toaster and act as if it was never there but she was very insistent that we had a group meeting.
Matt: 6:06:10-6:06:12	He confessed and we all put money towards a communal toaster.

Charlotte: 6:06:23- 6:06:27	we’ve talked about the toaster that divided the flat, rugby vs football but I think the worst submission we’ve had is the mouldy kitchen
Frazer: 6:06:27-6:06:35	This story is quite something. We didn’t think we would be able to give the story justice so we had our friend Liz write it down for us. Here’s what she said:
Charlotte: 6:06:35-6:06:40	Okay so it says here: I’ve had problems with flat mates since I joined uni and I’m in my third year but when I was in my first I lived in halls like everyone else.
Matt: 6:06:40-6:06:45	There was this girl and she’d always leave her pots and plates all over.
Charlotte: 6:06:45-6:06:53	This doesn’t sound too bad but one day I was cooking and I saw her grab a pot that had been used for spaghetti or something. She’d left it there for so long that there was mould in the pot.
Matt: 6:06:53-6:06:57	And I watched her empty the pot but she didn’t wash it at all. She just left the mould floating in the sink.
Charlotte: 6:06:57-6:07:06	That was strike one. I went into her room once to borrow something and literally every plate/ bowl had some form of moulding food and she always complained that she was getting sick.
Matt: 6:07:06-6:07:10	So as a good Simaritians I decided to mention to her that it’s not helping her health, we got into an argument and she reported me for bullying.
Charlotte: 6:07:10-6:07:15	I had to go through so much to prove that I wasn’t and that’s when I realised that some people just don’t want help.
Frazer: 6:07:15-6:07:20	Oh wow that’s quite a story! So did she have to speak to the head of the building or something? Because I know usually they just give you a warning.
Charlotte: 6:07:20-6:07:45	She’s written here “the accommodation had a no billing policy (obviously) and they view issues like that very serious so they were considering kicking me out and due to recent issues amongst students. It was a time that bulling was almost on a rise and I had to get all my flat mates to help me with my appeal to the case. It was very intense and I remember the girl finding it funny. I didn’t mean to offend her I was just being helpful but innit but I guess not everyone likes that.”
Matt: 6:07:45-6:07:48	She said that she just stayed away from her and didn’t speak to her again.
Frazer: 6:07:48-6:07:53	that’s quite a mature thing to do because it would be an instinct for a lot of people to get very riled up and argue which I suppose is a normal reaction to someone lying.
Charlotte: 6:07:53-6:07:57	I can’t even imagine what I would do in that situation. Plus the stress of exams and keeping on top of work. It all worked out good for her in the end so that’s good.

The script we have written is an indie/ alternative music focused local morning breakfast radio talk show

The ordering of the show, I feel, allows for the audience to feel comfortably reassured, this is because it is conventional t an average radio morning talk show with the news (preceded by an introduction) coming first followed by the sport and then the topical discussion of the day. These sections are divided by advertisements as well as  music which is all aimed at the target audience (being brands and artist s that they would likely consume. Meeting this convention is important as that having a show where the different sections are out of order may make an audience member feel that it is not professional in quality and make them uncomfortable to the point where they may tune in to something else. 

aimed at a 18-24 target audience who study at one of the two major Sheffield universities. They would likely be of all genders due to the wide enjoyment of indie and alternative music as well as the culture surrounding it. The audience would also likely be of the ABC1 socioeconomic status due to the amount of disposable income that is important to have to consume this culture. It is however important to remember that the people listening to our show, if they are students, would not have huge amounts of money to spend/ disposable income due to the fact that university is growing very expensive and students likely spend most of their money on food and shelter. The reason that we chose this audience is that we felt that they would be the most akin with our interests as producers. To further this we have also ensured that our three hosts all speak like people from Sheffield. This makes them relatable to our local target audience. This is important as that we need to feel that the show we are creating can reasonably target our audience. As well as this I felt that much of the local culture in Sheffield (such as indie/ alternative) music is aimed at this audience which means that it would be easiest to target them. Aside from the music I feel that the use of informal dialogue as well as the topic of "Nightmare roommates" allows for the target demographic to feel catered to as that they would likely speak quite informally and have stories to tell regarding the subject of conversation. This means that our show will contribute to their day as that they may wish to continue the conversation which they listened to/ took part in that morning on the SCC morning show. 

The show features sections devoted to News, Sport and a large discussion section which gauges the viewers

opinions on a certain topic which is likely to be of interest to them.  The script was written by all four

members of our team which is clear from the way which I (Frazer) have added highlighter to all of the text, the colour indicating the member of the team who has written that section (Pink for Matt, Green for me, Yellow for charlotte and Blue for Oliver) 

The writing in the script is meant to be akin with the different codes and conventions of the sections which they were written for. This means that the Topical discussion section is written in a very informal way which means that it has the impression of the hosts talking to each other in a peer to peer fashion (much as the audience would with people they know in their lives) having this relatable tone would make the audience feel more included in the conversation and by consequence more likely to join in the discussion online or talk about the show to their friends. 

I feel that the script which we have written is very consistent with the typical codes and conventions of a typical morning radio show such as the Steve Bailey show which is also a local area radio show as that we have included several features that are in line with that type of production such as Adverts which on a radio show (provided it is not public service) would provide the whole revenue stream for the show as that they would pay to reach the audience that our show would pull in. This Is why we have included advert for well known brands such as The Leadmill and HMV. They relate to our audience and therefore would be the type of companies that want our airtime. As well as adverts we have included a local News section. This is conventional to a local morning radio show as that people who are tuning in In the morning may want to know what is going on in their local area due to it impacting them personally. Perhaps on a different day the News stories covered (also important as that they may not gain national coverage) would be the main subject for out discussion section.) The discussion section is very important as that it allows the audience to feel included in our show due to the fact that they can have the hosts voice their opinions for them. This creates the idea of a community involving the show which we have created which will also make for a more loyal fan base. audience participation of this nature can be seen on the "Question impossible" section of the Steve Bailey show which is of a similar nature to ours.
