LO1: Three act script.

A three act script is made up of three sections. A beginning a middle and an end. The idea of a three act script links to Toderov's 1977 narrative theory around the idea of 5 point structure (equilibrium, disturbance of equilibrium or disequilibrium, recognition of the disequilibrium, restoration/ resolution, and a new equilibrium.)

What types of scripts would have three clear sections?

The likely types of scrips that would be in three acts are radio and TV Dramas and Films. All of these have a narrative however it is important to remember that not all narratives follow the toreros narrative model. For example "Fight Club" opens with a scene which comes at the end of the narrative. Not following a traditional story model allows a writer to keep a viewer intersted as that they can foreshadow events before they unfold in the liner narrative.
